Hello there! I am thrilled to have been invited to join Embark Counselling Inc on their journey to open up more doors for those that need to find connections the most. I had the pleasure of working with a highly variable spectrum of individuals throughout my career to date.

My experience includes work with youth/adults in the correctional system, in-patient treatment facilities, outpatient treatment facilities, outpatient treatment facilities, NCRMD Forensic care homes, and conduct private consulting for individuals ranging from 16-65.

I do not have an “ ideal client”. I thrive on being challenged, and exploring the human service sciences allows me that challenge, regardless of clientele.

My educational background is primarily in Criminal Psychology, with emphasis on mental health and substance-use intervention strategies. Over time, I have been fortunate enough to add a number of other elements of education, including trauma-informed care approaches, child and youth mental health development, and holistic parenting education for all caregivers. Further to that, I have solely and collaboratively developed programs applied within in-patient and out-patient institutions, with emphasis on a variety of therapeutic approaches.

My approach varies as much as my clients do- I do not adhere to anyone specific treatment modality, and believe that my clients should be met without the intention of any one approach as the focal point, but the option to implement the ones that feel the best suited.

I am looking forward to getting to know you! Accepting new clients: In Person and Virtual

I was born and raised in Rossburn, Manitoba, on my family farm surrounded by all kinds of animals. Some of my fondest memories include walking into the barn to discover a newborn calf or a litter of baby kittens!

My educational background has been rooted in a passion for understanding and helping others. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan (2019) and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina (2022). I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work.

While my journey as a counsellor is just beginning, I have experience working with children, older adults, and individuals with disabilities. I have supported individuals through challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and sexual health. I am committed to ongoing learning and growth, continually adding tools and perspectives to my practice to better support my clients.

I believe that healing and transformation happen through genuine connection. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, accepted, and empowered to be your authentic self – flaws and all. (She/Her)

I was born and raised in Northern Alberta and have recently moved to Saskatoon to be closer to our village of supports! I am a proud mother to one daughter that has become my whole world and the very reason I became a counsellor. I completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology at the University of Calgary and recently graduated from Yorkville University with a Masters in Counselling Psychology. While my journey of being a counsellor has only begun, I have over 9 years of experience in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in several different capacities regarding mental health struggles, domestic violence, addictions, and various types of trauma. I am so excited to join Embark in offering support and counselling services to adolescents (12+) and adults of all ages and identities.

The past year, I helped co-facilitate 3 different psychotherapy groups, one focused on women who have experienced domestic violence, familial dysfunction, and trauma; another on building resiliency, healthy attachment and relationships and trauma with adults diagnosed with Borderline Personality disorder, Complex PTSD/PTSD and Bipolar disorder and the same group with both parents and their children (12+). I am genuinely passionate about breaking generational patterns that no longer serve us and our relationships while allowing you to take the driver’s seat on your journey to healing. I believe that trauma, no matter how big or small, is the root to our suffering and through talking to an empathetic, non-judgemental and caring professional we can pursue accomplishing our goals and achieve lasting change. You are the driver in this journey, and I am only along for the ride.

I utilize a gentle, client-driven, empowering, non-judgemental approach which utilizes several therapeutic modalities, which integrate cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, somatic theory and trauma treatment. It is through an integration of these approaches, psychoeducation and teaching new coping skills that we will change dysfunctional thoughts and beliefs to unleash your true potential.

My areas of focus are: • Self Esteem and Identity • Intergenerational Trauma • Domestic Violence and Abuse • Healthy Boundaries and Co-dependency • Attachment • Family Dysfunction • Depression and Anxiety • Grief and Loss • Parenting and Motherhood • Suicidal Ideation and Harm Reduction • Life Transitions
